COASTSWEEP 2025

On Saturday, 9/27, over 75 people grabbed bags and gloves to take part in COASTSWEEP. They joined hundreds of thousands of others for the world’s largest volunteer effort for the ocean. For more about COASTSWEEP, visit www.mass.gov/coastsweep.

Special thanks go to the companies (Apex, HDR, KiteKrusaders), church groups (First Presbyterian), members of the Wollaston Yacht Club, students from BU studying oceanography, caring beachgoers and Quincy neighbors, and as always, the North Quincy High School Junior ROTC for making this a great success.  The final tally will show they removed THOUSANDS of cigarette butts, plastic of all sizes, nip bottles and much more. This effort will help protect our marine and bird life on the beach and make it a much more enjoyable experience for us humans.
