On May 2, about 30 volunteers joined FWB for Cleaner/Greener Quincy at Caddy Park at the South end of the beach. Participants ranged in age from 14 months to 92 years old. Caddy Park has been on FWB’s radar since we organized in 2006. In the past, we have pulled out a full sized safe; a dorm sized refrigerator and a Zodiac boat! The most notable find for 2026 was a golf club – which definitely signals progress.

A Shout Out to the Quincy Parks Department for their help with this Cleanup. Thanks to FWB, DCR, and individuals who care for the Park even when there are no organized events, this site is much cleaner than it was two decades ago. We think this proves the point that people tend to avoid disturbing a place that looks pristine.
